Bookist is free and we do not have any plans to make Bookist a paid-for app.
Yes! If you have discovered that we are missing a book in our database, please let us know using the contact form in the Profile section of the app or on our website, and we'll add it as soon as we can.
A stack is a collection of books. Think of it like a deck of cards. All stacks on Bookist are curated by our team to group quality reads by theme or topic.
The default shelves are "I've read this", "Want to read", and "Save for later". This category allows you to keep books on a shelf if you're interested in them but not sure if you want to read them immediately.
Bookist is not an e-reader, and we do not store the full text of any books on the app. Our goal is to help you discover books you're excited about, which you can then find online or in a bookstore.
Bookist is not currently available on Android, but we plan to extend it to Android in the near future.
We consider factors like your preferred genres, books you've read and highly rated, and books you've expressed interest in to recommend books tailored to you.
We plan to add this feature soon. Sharing a stack will allow you to send a link over WhatsApp or SMS so that your friend can explore the same stack.
Visit the Shelves tab in the app, find the book you want to move, tap the three dots (menu) to the right of the book, and select the "Choose New Shelf" option.
We are constantly adding new books to Bookist to keep up with the latest releases and ensure a diverse selection for our users.
