Melissa Faliveno is an American author and editor known for her lyrical, boundary-pushing prose. She is the author of "Hemlock", a work that showcases her keen eye for the complexities of identity, place, and belonging. A former associate editor of Poets & Writers Magazine, Faliveno has also written the essay collection "Tomboyland", which received widespread critical acclaim for its genre-blending exploration of the Midwest, queerness, and womanhood. Her work has appeared in numerous literary journals and publications. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and currently lives and writes in New York.
