Cleyvis Natera

Cleyvis Natera is a Dominican-American writer known for her vivid explorations of identity, displacement, and gentrification. Her debut novel, "Neruda on the Park," was a New York Times Editors' Choice and earned critical acclaim for its portrayal of a Dominican family in a changing Harlem neighborhood. Her second novel, "The Grand Paloma Resort," continues her examination of community and belonging. Natera's work has appeared in The New York Times, The Cut, and other publications. She holds an MFA from New York University and teaches creative writing. Her fiction captures the complexities of the immigrant experience with lyricism and emotional depth.
