Robert M. Hazen

Robert M. Hazen is a distinguished research scientist, author, and educator known for his pioneering work in mineralogy and complex systems. A senior staff scientist at the Carnegie Institution’s Geophysical Laboratory and Professor Emeritus at George Mason University, Hazen has authored over 400 scientific articles and 20 books. His research explores mineral evolution, the co-evolution of life and minerals, and the origins of life on Earth.
