Rachel Howard

Rachel Howard is an American memoirist and novelist whose work explores themes of family, trauma, and resilience. She is the author of the memoir "The Lost Night," which chronicles her journey to understand her father's unsolved murder, and "The Risk of Us," a memoir examining her experience with marriage and divorce. Howard's writing has appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Salon. She teaches creative writing and holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College. Known for her unflinching honesty and lyrical prose, Howard crafts deeply personal narratives that resonate with universal human experiences.
