Kohta Hirano

Kohta Hirano is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the dark fantasy horror series "Hellsing." Born in 1973, Hirano began his career in the dōjinshi scene before launching "Hellsing" in 1997, which ran until 2008. The series, featuring the vampire Alucard and the Hellsing Organization's battle against supernatural threats, gained international acclaim for its Gothic atmosphere, intense action sequences, and stylized artwork. Hirano's bold visual style and irreverent approach to vampire mythology have made "Hellsing" a cult classic. He later created "Drifters," another action-packed historical fantasy series that showcases his distinctive storytelling and dynamic illustration style.
