Roger Scruton

Roger Scruton was a prominent British philosopher and writer, renowned for his work in aesthetics and political philosophy. Born in 1944, he authored over 50 books, including "The Aesthetics of Architecture" and "The Meaning of Conservatism," which have significantly influenced conservative thought. Scruton was a professor at institutions such as the University of Buckingham and Birkbeck College, London. In addition to his academic contributions, he was an accomplished composer and editor. Knighted in 2016 for his services to philosophy, teaching, and public education, Scruton's work continues to inspire dialogue on culture, politics, and philosophy worldwide. He passed away in 2020.
