Roopika Risam is a scholar, author, and digital humanist whose work sits at the intersection of postcolonial studies, African diaspora studies, and digital humanities. She is the author of "New Digital Worlds: Postcolonial Digital Humanities in Theory, Praxis, and Pedagogy" and co-editor of "Intersectionality in Digital Humanities." A passionate advocate for equity and inclusion in digital spaces, Risam examines how digital knowledge production reflects and challenges systems of power. She has held faculty positions at Salem State University and Dartmouth College, where she continues to shape conversations about race, culture, and technology in the digital age.
