Born in 1959 in Seoul, he eventually moved to Germany, where he studied philosophy, theology, and literature. Han's thought-provoking works explore the impacts of technology, capitalism, and digital culture on human existence, focusing on topics such as burnout, transparency, and the digital age's effect on human relationships. His influential books, including "The Burnout Society" and "In the Swarm," have been translated into multiple languages, establishing him as a leading voice in critical theory and modern philosophy. Han currently teaches at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
