Joseph Cassara

Joseph Cassara is an American author known for his evocative storytelling and keen insight into marginalized communities. Born and raised in New Jersey, Cassara graduated from Columbia University and earned his MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His acclaimed debut novel, "The House of Impossible Beauties," brings to life the vibrant world of 1980s New York City, inspired by the LGBTQ+ ballroom culture. Cassara's work explores themes of identity, belonging, and resilience, drawing from both historical and fictional narratives.
