Mai Nguyen

Mai Nguyen is a Vietnamese-Canadian author celebrated for her vibrant and emotionally resonant storytelling. Her debut short story collection, "Fate and the Fat Badger Gazette," earned widespread acclaim for its imaginative blend of Vietnamese folklore and contemporary life. Nguyen's writing explores themes of cultural identity, family, and the immigrant experience with warmth, wit, and lyrical prose. A graduate of the Humber School for Writers, she has received recognition from the Asian-Pacific American Librarians Association. Based in Canada, Nguyen continues to craft stories that bridge cultures and generations, cementing her place as a distinctive and important voice in Canadian literature.
