John Grogan is an American journalist and author best known for his heartwarming memoir "Marley & Me," which chronicles life with his exuberant Labrador Retriever, Marley. The book became a bestseller and was adapted into a successful film. Grogan's writing career spans journalism and creative non-fiction, with his essays appearing in notable newspapers and magazines. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957, Grogan graduated from Central Michigan University and later earned a master's degree from Ohio State University. He has served as a columnist for publications such as The Philadelphia Inquirer. Grogan continues to write and reside in Pennsylvania.
