Roy McKie (1921-2004) was an American illustrator and author best known for his collaborations with Dr. Seuss and his work in children's literature. He illustrated several Beginner Books, including "My Book About Me" and co-authored "Snow" with P.D. Eastman. McKie's distinctive style featured bold, simple lines and vibrant colors that perfectly complemented early reader texts. His illustrations appeared in numerous Random House Beginner Books throughout the 1960s and 1970s, helping generations of children learn to read.
