Matt Kracht

Matt Kracht is an American author and illustrator with a passionate disdain for birds — or so he claims. He is the creator of the wildly popular "Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America" and its follow-up, "A Dumb Birds Field Guide to the Worst Birds Ever," both of which combine laugh-out-loud humor with surprisingly sharp ornithological observation. Kracht's signature blend of curmudgeonly wit and charming illustration has earned him a devoted flock of fans across North America. When he isn't reluctantly studying birds, he can be found in Seattle, Washington, where he lives and works.
