Jessica Johns is a Nehiyaw (Cree) writer and member of Sucker Creek First Nation in Treaty 8 territory in northern Alberta. She is the author of "Bad Cree," a debut novel that weaves together Indigenous storytelling, horror, and themes of grief, family, and the land. Johns is a co-organizer of the Indigenous Brilliance reading series and an editor at Rahila's Ghost Press. Her work has appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies. Based in Toronto, she is a powerful voice in contemporary Indigenous literature, blending the supernatural with deeply rooted cultural narratives.
