Akshaya Raman

Akshaya Raman is a South Indian American author known for her young adult fantasy novels inspired by Indian history and mythology. She wrote her first book at age seven and hasn't stopped since. Her debut novel, "The Ivory Key," and its sequel, "The Crimson Fortress," feature a richly imagined world inspired by the Vijayanagara Empire, exploring themes of magic, family, and political intrigue. Raman studied journalism at the University of Southern California and has worked in various creative industries. When she isn't writing, she enjoys traveling, reading, and trying new restaurants. She currently resides in California.
