Tommy Orange is a celebrated Native American author, renowned for his innovative storytelling and insightful exploration of indigenous identity. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Orange is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. His debut novel, "There There," released in 2018, garnered widespread acclaim, earning him the PEN/Hemingway Award and a finalist spot for the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. Orange's work is praised for its poignant narrative and multi-layered characters, offering a contemporary voice to Native American experiences. He holds an MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts, where he continues to inspire through his writing and advocacy.
