Zane is a prolific and groundbreaking American author best known for her bold, unapologetic works of erotic fiction. She is the pen name of Kristina E. Laferne Roberts, who began her writing career by self-publishing and quickly built a devoted readership. Her bestselling novels include "Addicted", "Gettin' Buck Wild", and "Total Eclipse of the Heart", all of which explore themes of sexuality, desire, and personal liberation with candor and wit. Zane's success helped pave the way for Black erotic literature in mainstream publishing. She is also a publisher, editor, and founder of Strebor Books.
