Javier Zamora is a Salvadoran-American poet and memoirist whose work explores themes of migration, identity, and belonging. Born in El Salvador in 1990, he migrated to the United States at age nine, traveling alone for nearly two months through Guatemala, Mexico, and the Sonoran Desert. This harrowing journey forms the basis of his acclaimed memoir "Solito". Zamora is also the author of the poetry collection "Unaccompanied", which received numerous accolades. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, and Granta. He has received fellowships from CantoMundo and the National Endowment for the Arts.
