Ian Serraillier

Ian Serraillier (1912–1994) was a renowned English novelist and poet, best known for his classic children's novel "The Silver Sword" (published in the U.S. as "Escape from Warsaw”). Born in London, Serraillier was educated at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, and later became a teacher.
