Stuart MacBride is a Scottish author best known for his gritty crime novels, particularly the bestselling Logan McRae series set in Aberdeen. Born February 27, 1969, MacBride initially pursued a career in graphic design and IT before turning to writing. His debut novel, "Cold Granite," published in 2005, introduced readers to his dark, immersive storytelling. Since then, MacBride has gained a reputation for his intricate plots and vivid characterizations. He has received numerous accolades, including the Crime Writers' Association's Dagger in the Library. Apart from writing, MacBride is a keen supporter of local charities and lives with his family in northeast Scotland.
