Chen Chen

Chen Chen is a celebrated poet known for his insightful and tender exploration of identity, family, and the immigrant experience. Born in Xiamen, China, and raised in Massachusetts, Chen has earned acclaim for his unique voice, blending humor with poignant observation. His debut collection, "When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities," was longlisted for the National Book Award and won the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry. Chen holds an MFA from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in English and Creative Writing from Texas Tech University. He is an engaging speaker and a beloved teacher of poetry.
