Nicky Beer

Nicky Beer is a celebrated poet known for her vivid imagery and innovative language. She is the author of multiple acclaimed poetry collections, including "The Octopus Game" and "The Diminishing House," both of which explore themes of transformation, nature, and identity with a unique blend of humor and poignancy. Beer's work has been featured in prestigious literary journals such as Poetry, The Nation, and The New Yorker. She has received numerous awards, including fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the MacDowell Colony. Beer holds an MFA from the University of Houston and teaches creative writing at the University of Colorado Denver.
