Ghassan Kanafani (1936–1972) was a prominent Palestinian writer, dramatist, and a key literary figure in Arab literature. His notable works include the novel "Men in the Sun" and the short story collection "Palestine's Children," which illustrate the Palestinian refugee experience. Beyond his literary contributions, Kanafani was an active political figure and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. His life was tragically cut short in an assassination in Beirut, yet his legacy endures through his influential writings.
