Edgar Gomez is an award-winning writer whose work explores queer identity, masculinity, and latinidad with humor and unflinching honesty. His debut memoir "High-Risk Homosexual" was named a New York Times Editors' Choice and received widespread critical acclaim for its vivid portrayal of growing up gay and Nicaraguan-Honduran in America. Gomez's essays have appeared in The Nation, Guernica, and elsewhere. A graduate of UC-Riverside's MFA program, he has received fellowships from Lambda Literary and the Community of Writers. His writing combines sharp wit with tender vulnerability, examining the complexities of identity formation and the search for belonging across cultural and sexual boundaries.
