Anthony Powell

Anthony Powell (1905–2000) was a distinguished British novelist best known for his twelve-volume series "A Dance to the Music of Time," which traces the intricate tapestry of English society across several decades. Born in London, Powell was educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford. His literary career began in the 1930s with early novels that captured the nuances of 20th-century life. Powell served in the British Army during World War II and later worked as a literary editor and critic.
