Zora Neale Hurston

Zora Neale Hurston was an influential African American author and anthropologist born on January 7, 1891, in Notasulga, Alabama. Raised in Eatonville, Florida, one of the first all-Black towns in the U.S., her work celebrated African American cultural heritage.
