Erika L. Sánchez is a celebrated Mexican-American poet, novelist, and essayist known for her vibrant exploration of identity, culture, and social justice. Born and raised in Cicero, Illinois, she holds degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of New Mexico. Her critically acclaimed debut novel, "I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter," was a finalist for the National Book Award. Sánchez’s poetry collection, "Lessons on Expulsion," showcases her lyrical prowess and deep introspection.
