Rena Kornreich Gelissen

Rena Kornreich Gelissen was a Holocaust survivor and co-author of the memoir "Rena’s Promise: A Story of Sisters in Auschwitz," which she wrote with Heather Dune Macadam. Born in 1920 in Poland, Rena was one of the first Jewish women transported to Auschwitz in 1942, where she endured unimaginable hardship.
