Carlos Castaneda

Carlos Castaneda was a Peruvian-American author and anthropologist born on December 25, 1925. He is best known for his books detailing his experiences with a Yaqui shaman named Don Juan Matus. Castaneda's seminal work, "The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge," published in 1968, introduced readers to his explorations of altered states of consciousness and indigenous spiritual practices.
