Riccardo Falcinelli is an Italian graphic designer, art director, and visual culture theorist based in Rome. A professor at the ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) in Rome, he is one of Italy's most prominent voices in the study of design and visual communication. His book "Cromorama. Come il colore ha cambiato il nostro sguardo" explores the cultural and perceptual history of colour, later published internationally as "Chromorama". In "Figure. Come funzionano le immagini dal Rinascimento a Instagram", he examines how images work across five centuries of visual history, from the Renaissance to the digital age.
