Craig Thomas

Craig Thomas was a Welsh thriller writer best known for his gripping 1977 debut novel "Firefox," in which a British spy is sent to steal a cutting-edge Soviet fighter jet. The novel was a massive international success and was later adapted into a blockbuster film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. Thomas went on to write numerous other acclaimed espionage thrillers, including several sequels featuring recurring protagonist Kenneth Aubrey and Patrick Hyde. Known for his meticulous research, technical authenticity, and relentless pacing, Thomas established himself as one of Britain's foremost writers of Cold War fiction. He passed away in 2011.
