Raymond A. Moody Jr. is a renowned philosopher, psychologist, and author, best known for his pioneering work in near-death studies. Born on June 30, 1944, he earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Virginia and an M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. Moody gained international recognition with his groundbreaking book "Life After Life," published in 1975, in which he coined the term "near-death experience" (NDE). His extensive research and writings have profoundly influenced the study of consciousness and survival of human consciousness after death. Moody has dedicated his life to exploring and understanding human experiences and the mysteries of the afterlife.
