Jay Anson

Jay Anson was an American author born on November 4, 1921, in New York City. Initially, he worked as a journalist and in film production, contributing to over 500 documentary scripts. Anson gained renown for his book "The Amityville Horror," published in 1977, which chronicled the paranormal experiences of the Lutz family in their Long Island home. The book became a bestseller, sparking numerous adaptations in film and literature, and cementing Anson's place in horror literature. He continued to write until his untimely death on March 12, 1980.
