Nicole Melleby is an award-winning author of middle grade fiction exploring identity, family, and resilience. Her acclaimed novels include "How to Become a Planet," "In the Role of Brie Hutchens...," and "Camp QUILTBAG." Melleby's work centers LGBTQ+ youth experiences with authenticity and heart, earning recognition including a Stonewall Honor and Lambda Literary Award finalist distinction. A New Jersey native, she holds an MFA in Creative Writing and works as a youth services librarian.
