About

Kenneth Grahame (1859–1932) was a renowned Scottish author best known for his classic children’s novel, "The Wind in the Willows" (1908). Born in Edinburgh, Grahame spent his early years in rural England, which would later inspire the pastoral settings in his works. His education at St Edward's School, Oxford, was curtailed, prompting a career at the Bank of England, where he eventually became Secretary. Despite his banking career, Grahame's passion for storytelling flourished, capturing the whimsical adventures and camaraderie in a world of anthropomorphized animals. Although he retired from writing after "The Wind in the Willows", his work endures as a beloved literary treasure.
