Eric Nguyen is an American author of Vietnamese descent, best known for his debut novel "Things We Lost to the Water," published in 2021. Born and raised in New Orleans, he draws on the rich cultural tapestry of the American South and the Vietnamese diaspora experience to craft deeply resonant stories. Nguyen earned his MFA from McNeese State University and has served as editor-in-chief of *diaCRITICS*, a publication dedicated to Vietnamese and Southeast Asian arts and culture. His writing explores themes of identity, migration, family, and belonging, earning widespread critical acclaim and establishing him as a powerful new literary voice.
