Raymond Antrobus is a British-Jamaican poet, educator, and advocate for the Deaf community. He gained international recognition with his debut collection "The Perseverance," which won the prestigious Ted Hughes Award and Rathbones Folio Prize, making him the first poet to win the latter. His work explores themes of deafness, identity, and family history, drawing on his experiences as a Deaf poet. Antrobus's follow-up collection "The Quiet Ear" further established his distinctive voice in contemporary poetry. He holds an MA in Spoken Word Education and has toured extensively, championing accessibility and representation in the literary world.
