Parker Curry

Parker Curry is an American child who became a cultural phenomenon in 2018 when, at age two, she was photographed gazing in wonder at Amy Sherald's portrait of Michelle Obama at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. The viral moment inspired her picture book *Parker Looks Up: An Extraordinary Moment* (2019), co-written with her mother Jessica Curry and illustrated by Brittany Jackson. The book celebrates self-confidence, representation, and the power of seeing oneself reflected in art and leadership.
