Yamile Saied Méndez

Yamile Saied Méndez is an award-winning Argentine-American author who writes picture books, middle grade, and young adult fiction. Born in Rosario, Argentina, she later immigrated to the United States and now resides in Utah with her family. Her work explores themes of identity, belonging, and the immigrant experience. Her novels include "Furia," a Pura Belpré Award winner about a young Argentine soccer player, and the acclaimed picture books "Where Are You From?" and "What Will You Be?".
