Amanda Peters is a Mi'kmaq author from Lennox Island First Nation in Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island). Her debut novel, "The Berry Pickers," became a critically acclaimed bestseller, earning numerous accolades including being longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and winning the 2024 Relit Award. The novel tells a haunting story of loss and identity within a Mi'kmaq family working as berry pickers in Maine.
