Ocean Vuong is an acclaimed Vietnamese-American poet, essayist, and novelist, celebrated for his lyrical and poignant exploration of identity, family, and loss. Born in 1988 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, he immigrated to the United States as a child. His debut poetry collection, "Night Sky with Exit Wounds," garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the T.S. Eliot Prize. Vuong's best-selling novel, "On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous," further established him as a powerful voice in contemporary literature. Currently, he is a professor at NYU. Vuong's work often draws on his personal experiences, weaving them into universal themes of love and resilience.
