Corrie ten Boom (1892-1983) was a Dutch Christian watchmaker and writer, renowned for her courageous efforts to save Jewish lives during the Holocaust. Born in Haarlem, Netherlands, she grew up in a devout and loving family. During World War II, Corrie and her family harbored hundreds of Jews and resistance members, reflecting their deep Christian faith and commitment to humanitarian principles. Arrested by the Nazis in 1944, she was sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp, where her sister, Betsie, died. After the war, Corrie shared her extraordinary story of faith and forgiveness through her bestselling memoir, "The Hiding Place."
