Herman Koch is a Dutch author and actor, born on September 5, 1953. He gained international acclaim with his novel "The Dinner," which has been translated into over 20 languages and adapted into films. Known for his darkly comedic and suspenseful narratives, Koch's work often explores the darker sides of human nature and family dynamics. Before becoming a writer, he was part of the comedy group Jiskefet. His other notable works include "Summer House with Swimming Pool" and "Dear Mr. M." Alongside his writing career, Koch continues to engage audiences with his insightful explorations of societal and moral dilemmas.
