Chigozie Obioma

Chigozie Obioma is a Nigerian author renowned for his masterful storytelling and rich narrative style. Born in 1986, Obioma's literary journey began with his critically acclaimed debut novel "The Fishermen" in 2015, which was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize. He followed this success with his second novel, "An Orchestra of Minorities," shortlisted for various prestigious awards, further cementing his place in contemporary literature. His works often explore the complexities of Nigerian life, identity, and destiny, drawing on Igbo folklore and culture. Currently, Obioma serves as a professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
