Irene Solà

Irene Solà is a Catalan poet, novelist, and visual artist whose work explores the relationship between language, landscape, and memory. Born in Malla, a small village in the Catalan Pyrenees, she draws deeply on her mountain roots in her writing. Her acclaimed novel "When I Sing, Mountains Dance" (originally published in Catalan as "Canto jo i la muntanya balla") weaves together voices of humans, animals, and nature itself in a lyrical meditation on death, community, and the living world.
