Harvey Penick

Harvey Penick was one of the most beloved golf teachers in American history. Born in Austin, Texas, in 1904, he began caddying at the age of eight and went on to serve as head golf professional at the Austin Country Club for over 30 years. He quietly recorded his golf wisdom in a small red notebook over the course of six decades, never intending it for publication. When "Harvey Penick's Little Red Book" was finally published in 1992, it became one of the best-selling sports books of all time. Penick passed away in 1995, leaving behind an enduring legacy in golf instruction.
