Ngozi Ukazu

Ngozi Ukazu is a celebrated graphic novelist best known for creating "Check, Please!", a hit webcomic series that follows a college hockey player navigating friendships, sports, and his identity. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ukazu studied at Yale University where she wrote her senior thesis on the role of race in "The Great Gatsby". She later attended the Savannah College of Art and Design to hone her skills in sequential art. Her work, infused with humor and heart, has garnered a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim.
