Ian C. Esslemont

Ian C. Esslemont is a Canadian author renowned for his contributions to the epic fantasy genre, particularly through the Malazan world, which he co-created with Steven Erikson. Born in 1962, Esslemont earned a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Victoria. He is best known for the Malazan Empire series, which expands and enriches the realm first introduced in Erikson’s Malazan Book of the Fallen series.
