Aimee Bender

Born in 1969 in Los Angeles, California, she earned her BA from the University of California, San Diego, and her MFA from the University of California, Irvine. Bender's debut novel, "An Invisible Sign of My Own," and the acclaimed short story collection "The Girl in the Flammable Skirt" established her as a distinctive voice in contemporary fiction.
